Today's Song

Do I look fat in the picture above? Nope, just standing next to Albert Lew. Somewhere in the Indian Peaks Wilderness there are a few good problems with some damn good views.
So even though photons follow linear equations,
sometimes bending for large masses,
some things just never add up.

Train, train, training,
studying, driving, coffee in the lap, sun rising over Denver's prairie dogs
and young neighborhoods.
Then finding that right track that that line that you hear once and it sticks,
"the ashes from the fire keep me breathing"
just passes and notice a stirring
and responsibility and questions about being penniless or purposeful
or both
Training again.
Run 'til the sunset and when its gone, salad.
Salad and books and responsibility and damn crimpers that wont let my ego run wild with success and alarm clocks and the easel
sits unused
and the storage unit moans

and the whole thing just doesn't add up all the time

and then sometimes,
sometimes things come together and there's nothing else to say but to run like a gale wind
tearing the hats off comfortable hikers,
like Pan with a stinky coat of fur and youthful blinding confidence shooting rainbows visions out your sweat glands

I'm Goin' to Sine Your Pitty on the Runny Kine

Seth, above on Gorillas early season, went and did his shoulder in on Unshackled @ Lincoln Lake, adding to the summer of destruction where I missed my South Africa trip sat out for 2.5 months, Troy sat in a wheel chair for 3 month, and Collett blew out his bicep. I tried playing guitar but that too hurt the finger, had to give that up for the summer.

Near the end of it all I went and got a job, cut the fur, and had an emo moment, I think this was mid-summer move number like 4 or 5, thanks JohnO for helping me out with the basement room, and Matt and Laura and lending me a spare room while I sorted things out.
"And since the possession of qualities assumes a certain pleasure in their reality, we can see how a man cannot summon up a sense of reality even in relation to himself may suddenly, one day, come to see himself as a man without qualities" from Robert Musil's The Man Without Qualities.

Annie on a 4th of July trip to Red Cliff.

Will Cole trying hard on Return of the Jedi (v8).
And for a while, when I was injured I tried, 3 times, to get to those boulders behind Longs peak, long hikes with no success.
Lost in the forest.
Still following the stream.
Went to Lake Tahoe to check out a job. Truckee had the right vibe but was too far from the hospital I'd be working at. I'll be back to ski these mountains.

Once Steph got stuck on a rock,
Flan climbed like a teenager,

and I used my boobs to finish Anvil V8/9 @ Lincoln Lake.

Then the Pootie Tang boulder was created. Rob Guin and I put up two problem on this one: Sa Da Tay (v3/4) which goes right and Wa Da Tah (v5). Sa da tay!

Then Rob risked life and limb on one of the best lines I've seen in Lincoln Lake, name unknow, grade v8/9?
Then I tried on the same dang friggin amazing line.

Shortly there after summer was gone. A few more photos from Al Lew from the last day up at Lincoln lake are coming soon.

As for up dates on Sports med topics, gi'me a few weeks, work's been nuts lately.
